can anyone provide me with ant info on the kasper & new combat folders from pat crawford ?

It seems that Pat Crawford's Kasper Fighting Folder is the most popular out of his whole line.. I am debating wherther to get a Carnivore, Wortac or KFF from him - I am still dreaming but I posted this question some time ago and many say that I should get a KFF but if I can't afford one ona blind buy to get a rekat carnivore.. CRKT is coming out with a low cost production version of the KFF you can eyeball that before you buy

hope this helps.

Tell me if you get a custom.

I have both the KFF and the Carnivore. I love the the shape and heft of the KFF but I trust the rolling lock more on the Carnivore. I wished the KFF can be updated with a RL but Kasper thinks NOT. So, Carnivore is my daily carry now.

Perhaps, you should get a CRK&T KFF and save the big bucks for the Crawford Carnivore.

If I were you, I would get the KFF, the Carnivore, a Wortac, AND...the CRKT KFF. Hey, why not? You only live once. Better to buy the good stuff than the cheap stuff. You'll save money in the long run. It'll be a once in a lifetime purchase. You'll pass them down to your son, who in turn will pass them to his sons, and so on, and so on...

(This is some of what I told my wife after she yelled at me for buying one of Pat Crawford's titanium KFF's at a recent knife show. But hey, I do wear it everyday, and when my son turns 18...wait, 21...when he turns 35, I'll give it to him.)

I spent such a long time conditioning my mindset for a customm KFF and now you mention that I should get a Custom Carnivore instead.. my mind is once again scrawled into turmoil!! Oh the humanity!

then again that was what you suggested when I was in radman's shoes... more fun that way.. anticipation and deciding which one to get

Hey Sniperboy,

My advice to Rad is appropriate. For you, MrG may not be too far off. Start counting your "hung baos" and purchase on credit.

Hey Sing. I am quite surprised you still remeber that old post. Yeah being away from home for so long noone knew me anymore and didn't know what to get me.. thus 'Hong Pao' city.. too bad I am in the USA over chiense new year.. I made a bit of profit over xmas.. time to cash in =).

but as they say abscence makes the heart go fonder - and the chase is what excites us. One by one only lest I fell like buying too much and neglecting hte rest.

The Shark, improved, should be considered a new Crawford Tactical knife. I love it! I got one with bolsters and it is "the super dimension fortress of knives". It looks thick and clunky, but is light and eager to go to work! I am turning over getting another with modifications. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to go with Crawford knives as I liked them a long time ago. Shark feels better than it looks and is reassuring in a dark night walk. Really think about IT too.
