This is my first post ever and I am not savvy on typing or computer stuff so please forgive me. I want to write about my PSK sr. out of respect I have for the maker Scott Gossman. The PSK sr. was the only tool I brought to Dave Canterburys class up here in the pacific northwest. I bought the knife about three years ago I wanted a custom knife to replace my camillus k bar type knife. The knife came and I liked it as soon as I saw it but over time and use I have learned to love it. The knife excells at all bushcraft/survival tasks in my opinion. The class was rewarding and I learned alot about trapping, shelter building, fire starting, and navigation I would recomend it to anyone.
I would also recomend Scotts knives to anyone. In our time he is truly an old world master blacksmith. I also carry his PSK and I just purchased his Tusker. I respect all of you and would tell you this there may be just as good knives as Scotts but none better.
By your leave.

Great first post. And I agree that Scott makes a great knife. Congratulations on the Tusker--I'm jealous!

Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed hearing about your course when we spoke on the phone. Truely a rewarding experience.

Congratulations on the course. Scott does make some of the best knives in the world! I know there is nothing I would not tackle with my Tusker!

I use my Gossman knife everyday for work. It hasn't let me down yet, and I am hard on it. Scott does make some great knives.

Scott does make good stuff. I liked the PSK SR too. I bought one but gave it to my cousin for christmas last year. Thought he meeded to be introduced to Mr. Gossman's talents. It works for him too.

Thanks for the kind words guys, much appreciated. Talked to a fellow who used his standard PSK knife, O1 steel, blade only no scales to free himself from getting caught in a 220 conibear trap hidden under water. He had to use a rock to hammer the back of the blade to cut the chain in half. All it did was chip the blade a small amount. I was able to hand sharpen it out in about 10 minutes. I did hit the blade on the grinder to check for any fractures. Clean and back to normal. Doesn't even look like anything ever happened to the knife.
