Patience and Custom 110's...

They must be mutually exclusive terms - patience and custom 110s. It hasn't been four weeks yet - I still have three weeks from Monday for their 'estimated' delivery. Of course, my original order got a tag-along... I added a BG-42 NS rivet Fiji orangewood the next week. I can't wait!

To make matters worse, I used my $20 off Cabela's for lead bullets - they'll ship 105 lb lead (plus packaging & shipping containers) for $14.95 s/h. No second 110AG for 'show' here anytime soon. I started carrying my 110AG... heck, every knife in my drawer is a 'user'. Then there is that silly 408B Kalinga Pro madness (See that thread!). I don't really have the money for this in the fall... such silly things as car tags, property tax, annual car & homeowners insurance, fire dues, grandkids Christmas, all seem to conspire against the fun purchases. Of course, who could forget my wife's incessant "I'm hungry!" or "I can't go to work barefoot!" (Why not? After all, this is Alabama...). They are all plotting against me - and my knife money (Yeah, right - what money?).

So, I'll be good... I'll leave the nice folk at Buck alone... I'll just keep waiting... watching that calendar. It is hard to do... patience must be a virtue... I could break out that new 'Sharpmaker' and make some more SAKs and Kershaws 'scarey sharp'...

Stainz,
I can appreciate your anxiousness & anxiety, what could be better than waiting on a new knife...waiting on two! Really, waiting in terms of weeks, is not too bad, for a custom production knife like Buck offers. There are many custom knife makers out there with waiting lists for a knife..in excess of a year.
On the Kalinga topic: Pre-payment and waiting months...is bunk! I think these are guys that take your money, then get on a Buck dealers list, to order YOUR knife. Real Buck dealers, sell only what is in their stock. I have gotten on lists to place a pre-order, so a dealer can get an idea of how many of each model to order...but no money exchanges hands.

There is your answer......SAKs and Kershaws..:barf:....thin your non-Buck herd. Then you can buy more Bucks;):D. I did that this year and I'm happy I did:thumbup::thumbup::cool:.
