Patience gone...

I got word that the small Sebenza Classic that I ordered will not be out until July. However, a regular small Sebenza is available from my dealer. So I told him I would take it. I guess I just ran out of patience.

Another factor, though, is that in a previous thread, I seemed to sense that people like the large Classic but preferred the regular small Sebenza.

I've never handled one of either type so I'm just going on what others have said. Any sage words of wisdom for me before I send the check this friday?

They are all nice and everyone likes what they like... That's what makes horse races....

You'll be back for a decorated before long. That's my bet...

The small plain Seb is a perfect choice. Small enough for easy pocket carry and large and sturdy enough for almost any thing you would need it for short of dressing out a black bear. Next question, decorated or computer graphic?

I think I need to clarify my post (allthough it's a moot point since I already sent the check).

The decision I was trying to make was not large vs small but the new "classic" handle design vs the regular design. In the thread I was referring to, it seemed that many people liked the classic design when used for the large sebenza but for the small sebenza, they seemed to prefer the regular design.

Anyway, thanks for the input. I think I will be happy with the regular design and if I'm not, I'm sure I'll be able to find someone to take it off my hands.

Since all of the blades are made w/BG42 now anyway, the main diff is the larger cut-out for unlocking the integral bar, yes?

I just recently picked up a small plain (non-classic) and its lock is easily accessible w/out the "rounder" thumb cut-out.

Any other functional differences?

Far as I know that's pretty much it. But I'm a moto dremel kinda guy and I've dremeled more than one knife to get more room around the stud. However, no way am I going to do that the a sebbie so if it doesn't fit me, stand by because I will probably be selling it quickly. I still have first dibs from my dealer on the classic. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that I will be happy with my decision buy the regular.
