...yet unfortunately, I seem to be lacking at the moment. I just recently purchased my first HI khuk(Chiruwa Ang Khola, request made by Sher) and I feel oh so very anxious to have it.
A few years ago, I became attracted to the beautiful shape of this type of blade, and at the time I was a very, very poor person. I couldn't afford to buy a cheap pocket knife, let alone a decent blade. So the very idea of owning a khukuri was well beyond me. A couple years later a good friend and I started getting really into tactical gear, survival equipment, and the likes. This new hobby sprang from a guy named Sean Kennedy, from RantMedia, if you've ever heard of him. We started regularing the local Army surplus stores, and I happened to stumble upon my first KLO. It was a cheapy curved machete, cost me all of ten bucks. I bought it, and it just warmed my longing for a true Khuk all over again.
This was only a year ago. And now I'm here, and HI has finally been able to give me that dear object of my desires. I'm proud to say I have started my lovely collection of Khukuris, and even prouder to say it's a HI khuk.
Anyways, back to the whole point of this post. I'm brand spanking new here, and I was feeling oh so anxious about waiting for my khukuri. It's been 'pending review' for two weeks, and I'm practically dreaming about it until it comes. But mostly I just wanted to introduce myself, and say how I came to the HI community. Thanks for listening to me, and it's great to be part of the family!
