Patina Gone !!

I really didn't like the patina I did on my GS so I went and got some sandpaper last night and gave my GS a full facelift - sanded the handle down to reveal a tiger stripe I have only ever seen the equivavlent of on my WW2 which got a new handle in Lignum vitae curtosy of Tom Holt and went to Mr Patton. I sanded the blade to get all the stain off and now it looks mint - actually looks really old and well used but without a fake patina. I gave it a strop after and it'll shave the hairs off a flea balls !!

Tonight I will do the handle on my Tarwar and finish off the GS !!

And you tested this how? JK, glad to hear that you got your khuk back up to snuff. That's always a wonderful feeling to have completed a project and done it well.

Well you see - first you gotta catch the little buggers, can be quite hard for a novice but I'm getting better. Then you gotta tie em' down - I like to use dental floss as they don't complain of it cutting their wrists too much.........
