Patina on my Mora

I did the hot vinegar patina on my Mora this weekend. It looks cool, but is darker on some parts of the blade than others. Is there a way to get it uniformly dark (the darker the better) or is it just going to look different as you move across the blade?

Sand and polish your blade to your liking.
Put vinegar in a tall cup, put the whole blade into the cup (minus handle), wait.
Take it out. Perfectly even patina

If you are going to force a patina on your knives with household items, you can't expect uniform results. It may also have been that the knife wasn't completely clean when you dunked it.

If you want a uniform dark patina on your carbon blades, you can cold blue it (Birchwood Casey or Brownells), as that will give it a dark gray to black coat. You can then buff it a bit with 000 or 0000 steel wool to bring the darkness level down a bit.

My suggestion is to just go and use that knife so develops a natural patina.
