Patina on my Rat-7

Took some mustard and mixed it with white vinegar. Dabbed it on with a towel 3 different times. Not to bad looking tried to get a rustic look.

Looks cool, I do prefer the natural patina that develops through regular use though. Too many people forcing it kind of cheapens the process I guess. :eek:
 
I do force it on some blades, just to prevent aggressive rust. I too, am a fan of a natural patina, that is allowed to develop over time, but I am also anti rust, and impatient to boot.
 
Slice up a gang of lemons, mangos, limes, tomatos, etc. and skip wiping the blade. That will make a great blue colored patina. Almost looks like anodized titanium. ;)
