Patriot Leather?

Anyone know what happened with Patriot Leather? Busse has been removed from their website. I have enjoyed the sheaths he did for me.
 
I hope that's not the case, as I've had a sheath ordered now for 10 wks for a ratmandu!
 
I messaged him a couple of weeks ago on here and never got a reply. I sent him my battle saw to use for the group buy he ran here and the communication was great at that time. Hope all is well with Skyler
 
I ordered a sheath on March 19th and it still says pending shipment, I also got no replies on my Emails.
 
There's a notice up on his ebay store that "We are currently building all orders. Ordering will resume in June."

Hopefully he's okay...
 
Maybe getting caught up? I imagine the sheath makers are probably getting quite a few orders due to the O2W blade frenzy.
 
I imagine he is super busy if he has been silent lately. Skyler always been a super great communicator. I would not worry, but I did send him an e-mail with a link to this thread...perhaps he will stop by and say hi.
 
No worries, I'm still here and will be til I drop dead with leather and a fistful of knives in hand.

We had our email server bounce replies for a couple days so if you haven't received a reply please email and I will get you squared away as to order status, or other inquiry. I respond to all inquiries withing 24-48 business hours.
Some point later this year I am going to build and host my owner sever from now on. There is a new site in the works, I might get it finished towards Summer, some of the missing brands will return then.

I am currently reshuffling things within the business in an effort to reduce the lead time by about half and also try to get a day off. It's been a bit over 200 days since I last had one. Due to me working 20 hour days my underlings were skirting some of the rules here a bit for to long. They took offense at polite but firm course correction with much whining and gnashing of teeth and subsequently found out why they call me the Angry Gnome. Hopefully they find unemployment much more suitable. Oddly enough, I get far more accomplished when I am not supervising other and getting bogged down with all the day to day crap of dealing with employees.


Dogs - The old Dogs have never been a good performer sheath wise for me. From my end, it doesn't make sense to invest a ton in things that only see occasional returns.

Rats - Other than the RMD which I have left on the site, many of the Swamp models are aged and there is currently very little demand for a sheath.

Hogs - I love Busse, but of everything I build sheaths for they have always given me the biggest headache. There are so many variations of most of the blades and far too many people are simply uninformed or new to Bussekin and do not know what they have. The small differences make a big difference when you want a sheath built. I am tired of the email screaming at me that their sheath doesn't fit and oh by the way my knife is a magnum, BG, LE, anorexic, Custom Shop, 1 of 2 variant, Jerry's random drunken oddball :D , etc, and if I wasn't such an idiot I should have somehow known that, or made something one size that somehow fits everything, perfectly.

Starting last month, and I will be adding it to the site soon, Busse builds are by appointment and send in, only. I realize this is disappointing and/or irritating news for some people but this seems to be the only way I can maintain quality control and customer satisfaction on receipt and not have to make things three times. It really takes a toll on my lead times and, due to the recent spate of keyboard spec op ninja commandos, something I will no longer tolerate.
