patriot without date

I just got a patriot. So far great knife. Pictures just dont show the solid ergos and how good it looks in the metal.......weird though first emerson ive gotten without a date on it. The rest of the writing is there. Came from knifecenter so im about sure it isnt a fake. Plus it's too good to be even a good fake.

So whats the thoughts..missed a step on the laser or whatever imprinting or are all of them this way? Never owned another patriot so i cant compare except with pictures online and they seem to show production dates? I didnt look at every picture online just some dealer photos and a few i found quickly.

They have been leaving the year markings out on the ones made in 2015. I own a few different ones that have no year markings.

You're welcome. No idea why they stopped putting the year markings on them. Perhaps they felt it was no longer relevant.

I'm gonna second the no longer relevant thing. They've changed over to standoffs from spacers with a few other slight changes over the years so my guess is that now that everything is fairly mainstream and kept the same for all the models it's just not important and doesn't really mean anything anymore.
