Where are they gonna be made? It would however be cool if the patrol were to be made in south America for the sake of going og.

well, we don't know for sure, not how much, or when...

last i head they were pulled from Taiwan for manufacture. where? don't know.

2013? good luck!

i know nothing!

yeah, last I heard they were gonna be made in the USA, which I think is why they aren't out already.

I would LOVE a U.S. made Patrol Machete & Brute. I can honestly say that I would happily pay an extra $20 for each to get 'em made in America. Made here in the U.S. is one reason I love Becker knives. And to have anything as important as the 6 & 1's re-introduction made anywhere else would be a huge disappointment.
Not saying I wouldn't buy one made in Taiwan or S. A. just wouldn't be nearly as excited about it.
PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE, gimme an American made 6 & a 1 for Christmas..... or Easter. :D

Aside from one of my favorite machetes the Ontario...I do love the tramontinas...it would be pretty cool to forge a patrol in south America using the climate, the water, mineralization of the water and just the overall atmosphere and spirit..know what I mean?.

BKT Machete is going to move right to #1 on my to buy list when it's released. Can't wait.

I'd be really excited over a new US made 1, other countries eehh.
I'd still probably buy one and I don't have anything against imported goods, I just prefer domestic infinitely.

BKT is a Made in USA.

For this to happen, one must exercise.............

patience.

Awesome to just know that they are coming out...what got me into beckers was the patrol machete and the trademark grivory...never did get the machete....i hope they add on the extended pommel on both...idk about you guys but i love the pommels..especially the fact they added it onto the kabar 4 which was a good idea in my opinion.

Yup, the extended pommel should be on all of the line of BK&T. It's like one of their trademarks. As is the full width full tang. It is something that sets theirs apart from the others & is VERY functional. I use them all the time to be able to baton point first into whatever. That is usually how i get a knife out that i get stuck, by batoning point first into the knot & breaking it up.

That damn moving pic you posted is about to give me seizures !!!! LOL :D

I got to use the Kabar Grass Machete this weekend (thanks Twinstick!), and it splits kindling with ease. I wonder if a Becker machete would be thick like the Kabar, or thinner and more flexible like a Tramontina. I'm guessing thick and tough, like all the BK line.

Oh, my Camillus is thick.

It has BKT on it, its gonna be thick. I would venture a guess as to say 3/16" area. Maybe less.

I had one up for a passaround, once before. Perhaps another run might be in order.....

Out of all the rumored new blades I'm most excited to see if this one is manufactured. I could use a BK with a blade bigger then 9 inches. BK1 size seems similar to BK4 and 9.
