pattern difference question

Howdy! Okay, so I just have to ask. I haven't been able to find an answer to this question, and so I thought I'd ask it here. What exactly is the difference between a butterbean pattern and the canoe? To my mind they both look the same, but I suppose there MUST be a difference. Size maybe? Just wondering.

Oh, and I seem to have become very hooked on the traditional patterns. My mother gave me a Schrade Old Timer stockman, and I just can't seem to leave the knife at home! Whattya know, I'm all out of tactical. Just something nice about a simple knife that you have to open with two hands. Like the one handers, definitely! but there is something about a simpler knife from a simpler time!

Sincerely,
Anthony

Butterbean is just a cute name given to a small Canoe, I believe the name started with Case:).
