I have a Keen Kutter. I know little about them, and it's the only one I have. It has blades like a junior stockman, but shaped like a dogleg, I think. The blade is marked 903 on the back. The handles are like a lemon drop and you can see down inside of them. It is 3 1/16" closed. What would this pattern be called?

Although the blade configuration is bit different than some others that looks like a Whittler knife to me. I like the knife very much in any case.:)

Looks like a stockman variation to me: clip main, sheep/lambsfoot, and pen instead of spey.

Appears to be a serpentine stockman with a pen in place of the spey.

Hawk, If it had one blade at each end, your knife would be called a Wharncliffe pen. In LG4 he shows the same handle pattern with two blades at the right end, and calls it a Wharncliffe jack. So you must have a Wharncliffe stockman! 1st Baron Wharncliffe designed the handle, as well as his famous blade, according to some sources.
Your knife is not a whittler, as it lacks the traditional whittler layout. By definition, a whittler has a split backspring, and the small blades are at the left end.

There is a similar Schrade pattern, a 766. I didn't realize I had one. Same frame, one spring, no sheepsfoot.

I suppose Schrade made the KK too.

Very probable that Schrade made it, thawk. Interestingly, I was looking in the Catalog E reprint, and one of the knives, on a similar frame, was called a serpentine sleeveboard:eek::D. I'll post the pages when I get a chance.

In Blade's Guide, there is a very similar knife "Schrade Cut Co" and it is called a "Dog Leg" or "Serpentive" clearly a mispelling of Serpentine.
