Was a little low of propane lastnight, so only had enough to do some little work. Made two of these, but this one is the bigger of the two. Rough stage, and wanted to take a peek before HT tomorrow. This is 120 grit. Pattern weld is 219 layers of 1084/15n20.

Thanks. HTing today, maybe polish them up too. It has been a good lax weekend!

I've always admired folks who do pattern weld stuff - that is NICE!!! Do you have a power hammer? or press? or just "arm 'n hammer" power? Good job.

I have two power hammers. This material was forged on my 50# mechanical. The pattern weld is derived from a run I did awhile back, making a 7 pound bar that I have been forging to size and cutting for various kitchen knife projects - mainly Gyuto. The methods used to weld the Blue #2 was more or less fully traditional.

Thanks.
