hi ya'll, here's a tree that hit my garage about a month ago. i sawed it into log's the same day it hit.
i just got back from mushroom hunting, and i didn't find anything. well it's hotter than a $2 pistol out here, two day's ago it was snowing. today it's 68 degree's or more. so i go in the house and grab a brew. i walk back out side to go in the shed and the log's catch my eye. i'm still kinda mad the tree fell on the garage. so i decide to take out a little passion on the tree's remain's. i walk to the truck and grab paul, a camera, and a smoke. i started to baton the log down the center then down the side's. as you can see my baton kept getting smaller and smaller. after about 20 minute's it's time to cut some feather's. i start the feather's with the baton until paul come's loose, then finish off the rest with him. here are some pic's to enjoy. tell me what ya think.

ain't nothing wrong with salting beer. the pics came out better than i thought they would. well the log had it coming, the garage not so much.

i think i'm gonna try a cross tie next. i know were a few are, we'll see what happen's.
 
congrats on getting one. i would like to see ya beat it. this thing has been my carry some do all for year's. i've dressed more critter's than i can count. speek of the devil got to set some meat out for the morning.

I've got to tell you that my Dad, Paul Busse, is sittin' on a cloud somewhere with a huge smile on his face!

I want to say to you what he he always said to me, "You made me proud son!" :thumbup:

I really love the Paul's Hatchet and I'm really glad to see one getting used the way my Dad liked to use 'em!

Thanks for the post man! It brought back some great memories of me and my Dad. :thumbup:

Now I'm gettin' all teary eyed and find myself in need of a serious drink!!!! :eek:

you are more than welcome boss, i really enjoy loving on it. actually the first time i ever used paul it bite me. i had just got a new pair of boot's and paul the same week. so i was in the yard clearing shrub's from the fence line. about three swing's into it a glancing blow came down hard into my new boot's. the toe was cut all the way down to the steel. i got kinda mad that the boot's now had a huge gash in them. so i went on a tyrade through the wood's. cutting, smashing, and just beating the sh*t out of paul. after about 45 minute's i was whopped and started walking back out of the wood's. i looked down at paul and he was no worst for wear, just missing some coating. so started a wonderfully abusive relationship. that's a true story, the boot's are long gone but paul is still here. i'll have to go get a cross tie now and split that one, or maby car.
