Paul Chen German Trench Knives

Hey all,

I recently came across the Paul Chen German Trench knives (see here, for example: http://www.knifeoutlet.com/shop/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=PCTRENCH), and I was wondering about their quality. The steel is listed as "high carbon steel" which I'm assuming is 1095 though I haven't found any more specific information anywhere.

Does anybody own or has handled these knives? What's the fit and finish like? How is Paul Chen's heat treatment? (1095 is very easy to heat-treat, of course, but one can never know)

Any info is much appreciated
 
i'd be interested in some info on this knife also. I like to have one of this pattern but don't want to let go of $100 to buy the boker version. I can't help but think it won't be much for just 29.95. ahgar
