Paul Chen Tactical Tanto. What do people think of it?

I like the look and feel of it and I've thought of buying it. Right now though, I'm pretty excited about the Hanwei Tactical wakizashi which apparently comes out in August.
Both blades are pretty reasonably priced.

I have one that I purchased about 6 or 7 years ago. I think I only paid around $75.00 for it and felt like it was a great piece for that price. I liked how both the overall shape and the blade design is pretty traditional tanto. I definitely think it makes a good tactical knife. It's a real tank; very heavy and made of thick stock, but quite well balanced. The blade came shaving sharp out of the box and has a wicked point. Since the distal taper doesn't start until the last two inches of the blade lenght, there is a lot of meat behind that sharp point. The rayskin covered handle offers about as positive a grip as you'll ever get on a knife. It's also got a thick, heavy butt end that could definitely put a hurt on something. The nylon lined metal sheath is pretty cool the way it releases the knife instantly and without a bit of friction at the push of a button (just in front of the guard). Overall, I was impressed with the knife. That being said, I don't feel like it's a good all arounder. It seems specifically designed to be a fighter and gives up some utility to that end. And, at it's current price, I think there are a lot of other choices that are more multi-purpose. If you are wanting a strictly tactical knife, it's a good choice IMO.
