Paul Fox folders?

I have had the Paul Fox Desert Fox folder on my "permanent drool list" since I first saw a "triple black" model in a Nordic Knives catalog over a decade ago. I just realized that I know nothing about the maker, and have never seen one for sale, held one, or even seen one in person. They look like they open with a flipper, but as far as the locking mechanism I am clueless. Any info would be appreciated. Here is a scan that I found quite some time ago. I would credit the source but I can't remember where I got it. Thanks.

yes, these were the first customs I ever seriously drooled over, in the early 80's no less! I think the lock is that lugar-like round toggle on the spine, same principle as a regular lock-back but the toggle release is by the blade rather than by the butt, as it would be in a buck for example. But don't hold me to that.

I've got one, only with the black blade & wood handles, its a lot easier & simpler to close than it is to try & tell or show someone if that makes any sense. you just sort of push down with the heel of your palm while lifting the toggle & it just folds right up. Pretty neat & I don't see how it could accidently fold up, but then I've carried Terzuola & Gilbreath liner-locks for years & can understand in a general way the spine-whack test and why it could be relevant but then its not a question I ever thought to ask i.e., not being aware of a problem or in the woods when the tree fell, I wasn't...well, I certainly am rambling, I lucked up & bought mine from either AG Russell or Phil Fallon years ago & have no idea how to get more info than that. I said black blade, it is really more of a deep gun blue maybe. very solid & tight.
