but.....I really messed up on the photography this time around. Paul did his usual and expected as-always craftsmanship, but I had a terrible time with my camera. First of all, I didn't use my light tent, so the colors are horrible on these, especially this first one, one of my desk sheaths(mesquite isn't yucky mustard yellowish red brown whatever). Also as can be expected, on the knives, you know who is visible in a couple of them. Jeez, I should have just not even tried. However, I did want to show Pauls latest work, even though you can't see the details very well. Ok, get some PepcidAC and sit back:

This is one of my new design Desk Sheaths. It's for folks that want to display or store their knife without wearing it on their belt. The knife is shown below later. The wood is mesquite, but mesquite isn't this color, so please keep that in mind. Mesquite is more the color of the Mesquite handles on my knives below. The leather design is the same on both sides.

Here are three really nice sheaths he just did, I wish you could see the detail. There are two righties and one lefty.

Here are four knives I recently finished, three Mesquite Mistresses, and a paring knife. Handles are Burly Mesquite, guards and pins are nickle silver. The blades are all 52100. I'm really loving this steel, and enjoy forging it. I'm happy with about one in four blades, so I do scrap a few. Also you'll see that these blades are polished, which I normally don't care for. I've gotten used to Dr. Lucies stone finishing process. I do listen to my customers though, and if they want polished blades, or glossy handles, I'll do it if I'm comfortable with it. They all have the same ricasso, but it just doesn't show in the photo. By the way, the paring knife is the one that goes in the Desk Sheath above.
