today my 4 year old and i went walking in the wood's looking for knot's to make handle's out of. my friend just had her land timbered, and the company left the "undesireable" wood behind. well we cut out some hickory, red oak burl, and then i seen this monster!!. that is a yard stick in the picture. we'll i had to drag it out (not me the truck). so she's gonna let me have it. i wonder if jerry would trade for some infi, knob creek is coming up and cherry knot is pretty i just don't know if it's good for knife handle's. there are some pics of the tree's/knot's/and paul working his coating off. these are not in any order. it was nice to be in the wood's with my girl, and she found that cool looking fungus. enjoy

I've seen some absolutely beautiful burls up here. There is a store not too far out of Fairbanks where they sell some of the best burl work I've ever seen.
