Have any of you regulars at the NY Custom Show ever seen Paul Tausig's Civilian with 2 blades? It has 2 of those big nasty civilian blades and I think it's the only one made. He's had it for years and has a way of snapping it side to side so both blades snap out one after the other.
Just thought of it recently and wondered if any of you had ever noticed him standing near the entrance usually opening it. He seems to like the reactions from people.

I've heard rumors about the two-bladed Civilian, but I've personally never seen one myself. I'll bet that there are a couple more in existence.

I'm sure he gets some strong reactions while snapping it open. Actually, I'd probably faint from fright if I was exposed to such a thing.

I gotta see a pic of that, can anyone get one? I bet if some custom maker, or otherwise mechanically inclined individual, started making these, they would sell; probably not well enough for a mass production run, but at about $350 each there'd be a handful or so takers. Another good idea would be a civillian blade and a sifu blade!! Hell I might faint of fright if I opened one of them myself!

It's really an awesome piece. I posted the question to Sal at Spyderco if it was the only one, I'm sure he'll answer when he has time.
While I dont really know Paul other than to say hi every year at the show, I know he is into one of a kinds. I'm also reasonably sure he doesnt carry it except to get reactions at shows.
I dont know if he reads the forums but Paul if you do, how bout a pic for the fans?

Jim March will drool for this one.

I would guess Sal "officially" knows nothing about it, meaning it was probably cobbled together from two Civvies by a creative consumer, not produced that way from Spyderco.

A 2 Bladed Civilian? EESH! Whoah-
irresponsibly wicked- I want one!

Lifter,
Yup, Phil Gibbs[in house designer @ CAMILLUS, and all 'round cutlery sicko] is the creator of the havoc-dealing 'HORNS of the BULL' double Civilian. Its bad...its kewl....it makes you giggle when you snap open BOTH blades at once. Bill Clinton probally would try to have it banned if he ever saw it

Oh yeah....it needs Phil's patented 'Chassis Spring' to work. If you have ever seen a pic of Phil, he really is smarter than he looks.

If you want one[if Phil makes anymore], the line starts somewhere WAY behind me

I believe the tariff is something around $1000....hey he has to START with 2 Spydie Civilians
