I wanted to put a decent set of steak knives in my block for a while and ran into theartoday. Like most of my fine cutlery, it came zip tied in a blister pack. I was pleasantly surprised at the nice grip, full exposed tang, and red dyed wood scales firmly affixed by three brass bolsters. Nothing but class.
The five inch blade has a normal point and straight back, with the belly sweeping up on the last 2" or so. They came sharp enough to cut a Costco yellow melon up for dinner tonight. With any luck, I'll have smoked pork shoulder for further testing later in the week.
They look like a fine $11 investment in my kitchen toolkit.
