Does anyone know if Jerry did any variants of Pauls Hatchet? I used the search feature and didn't find anything:mad: Of course I probably didn't use the feature right!

This was talked about in the other Busse forum.
I don't think any have been made, YET. :D

Yes, there was some discussion on the forum at Bussecombat.com . IIRC, a search and rescue guy posed the idea of a mofified PH for his purposes.

Jerry expressed interest, but I'm not sure what ever came of it. I think a PH variant would be too cool :D

I looked for that thread on bussecombat forum and couldn't find it. If anyone has a link to it that would be great! I also have some ideas of what would be cool for a self extrication/overhaul tool. But I don't want to re-invent the "wheel"

Great thread RVO3VOM!

Some real good ideas there! What I had in mind was something that I could use to extricate myself from building. Ya know make my own exit! Something along the lines of a pick-headed axe shape. A pick for prying, a poll for pounding, and an edge for cutting. IMHO too many other things added make it more of a gadget instead of a tool. I don't need a seat belt cutter, I have a knife for that. A wrench cut-out would take away needed weight, and a folding pick seems like a spot where early failure might happen. I envision something that I could breach a block wall with if I needed to, maybe at the expense of my tool, but I would be alive to buy another....Oh one other feature, a handle long enough so I could pull ceiling with the hatchet. 18" to 20" maybe.... need to do more research on that aspect. Too long and then you don't want to carry it because it gets in the way. I ramble sorry. Thanks again for that thread if anyone else has any ideas or different opinions let me hear them.

ToxMedic1,

If you can find the time to list your requirements, I would appreciate an email direct to me at jerry@bussecombat.com

We are currently working on some new designs and your input would certainly prove valuable, and be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jerry
