Paul's Hatchet.... ?

Hey Guys.....

Picked up my CG Paul's Hatchet yesterday from Andrew.. Definately the Coolest Busse product I own...

This little beauti has got some real potential out in the woods.Going to have some fun with it next weekend at a Scout camp...

Ok the question I have is what is kind of Micarta are on these...??

Is it Linen or Paper ??

Whatever it is I like it....

Did you get it from Andrew Pinchen, or another Andrew?

I believe the CG PH's scales are canvas micarta, BTW.

I'd love to hear your impressions of it, especially chopping performance compared to other Busse models. Does it work well as a throwing hatchet ?

Ditto that. I'd love to hear your reactions to PH Does it throw well? Can it effectively hammer with the rerverse side? Does it have an asymetrical edge? I think these little guys are cool!! Just a matter of time for me I guess.

I got it from Andrew P....

Andrew lives in Michi,, I live in Canada,, but we are only about 45 mins or so away from each other...

Kind of handy having him around..

As far as the handle goes,, I'm not sure,,but for some reason this doesn't look like canvas.. Pattern is too tight.. More than likely linen .....

As far as throwing it....

You won't see mine being thrown unless there is a reason for it....

I haven't done much with mine except for handling it for a few hours,,but I imagine that it would make a decent pounder...


All in all I like it alot.. I can see alot of uses for it in the bush for sure..
Not sure if it will ever take the place of a blade, but sure is handy to have....An Ideal tinder maker No doubt....

The only problem is now,,what do you take ??

You start looking like Inspector Gadget after awhile... Better get some suspenders..

Nice area where you're at Eric. Spent a week up there a couple years ago. Tooled the countryside, hit Leamington up to Stoney Point and west. Left a few bucks in Windsor...
