Just walked out of a local pawn shop with these 2. I paid $25 out the door. Felt pretty good about that. Never been a big fan of the Cricket but couldn't pass up that price.
Btw, not sure of the name if the smaller one. Is it a Ladybug?

25$ for the both of them?
Run, thats a steal :-)
A Cricket and the Ladybug (its an early version) for that price, and the Cricket still has the protective on it?

Man, thats a find for sure!

I picked up a blue featherlight Manix 2 for $40 at the EZ Paen in Thornton. Went in there with my Son to look at a guitar. Glanced over, saw the Spyder. Had $55 on it. I pulled out 2 twenty's and Sold. The pocket clip was missing. I swung by the outlet store and Rachel put a brand new one on with new screws and all. No charge.

In your case, the sad part is, both knives have probably been in the shop awhile and the shop most likely 'loaned' $10 our for the both of them. The fact that the "owner" never came back to get them only testifies to the addage 'One persons trash is a another's treasure'.
Well done, Sir.
Let that be an inspiration to all of us to check the local pawn shop from time to time.

Thanks guys. I never find deals like this so I feel especially blessed today. I kinda felt bad after I left the store and googled the prices on the Cricket. I figured the retail was about $50, so I made an offer based on that price. I'm happy to have them and going to sharpen the Ladybug and add it to my keychain.

:D:D

Never feel bad about a SpyderCo you got from a Pawn Shop. With what they got the knife for originaly subtracted from what you paid them, trust me, they made money. Thats the sad part. Whereas we all would easily pay $30 each, the pawn shop will only offer a fraction of that. You can test this yourself. Next time you stroll through the mall or retail store ask folks if they happen to carry a SpyderCo knife. Most people you meet will not. And this is the very essence of what drives a paen shops business, popular consumer goods. But no matter, the real winner here is you.
