Lets see some pics and stories of knives you've found for a bargain and knives that you rescued and restored to a good usable state.
===============================================
Mine is a mix of both, I got quite the deal with this Kershaw Trooper (80's model with no serial) about 10 years ago at the local pawn shop...I paid $30 for it, it was covered in grind marks and someone tried to reprofile it in a disgusting way but it is a very beefy knife so I had a lot to work with, obviously they had no idea of how expensive these were when they came out and they still pull a decent amount.
I fixed it up hand rubbing and profiling the blade with what I had, sharpened with nice micro edges and got it usable again...I made a molded scabbard recently for it as it came as just a knife and nothing else and wanted to carry it a bit when I'm out and about (still need to add a clip to button it in, but I will make a kydex sheath for it eventually). For the price you'd be hard pressed to find anything of equal quality and materials. :thumbup:
So post yours up.
