So I've read several posts around the forum of people finding great deals at pawn shops, flee markets, and such. So today I figured what the hell, I'll go check out the local pawn shop, less than 10 minutes away. I had been there before, years ago and the knives seemed steep. Today was no different, I looked at a few of them no great deals. I was getting ready to leave when I caught a glimpse of silver alox in the bottom of a box filled with misc. knives. I asked to see it, no price, the small screw driver head was tweaked a little, which I pointed out to the lady. She went to get a price from the manager, he was trying to look it up using the 01 on it as the model number nothing came up (duh).
So he said "hows ten bucks sound", I thought a minute, trying to hide my excitement, yeah I guess.
SCORE...Ten bucks for a Victorinox Silver Alox Soldier, sweet.
The 01 on the blade is a date code (month) correct? Its not the first of the run, or it would be 01/500 or something like that, correct ?
