I found a 2007 CQC-7 with wave and serration, and talked them down to $85 but then decided to wait.

It needs some work and unfortunately I don't have pictures. G10 is pretty worn down, blade needs sharpened, tip is dull, etc.

I would basically send it in for a spa treatment which is $45.

So...Emerson owners. Is it worth it?

I would buy it in an instant and redo it but I prefer used Emerson's unless it's a rare model.

I would pretty much buy any Emerson under $100 doesn't matter the condition.

Good Luck.

I'd say it's worth it. The thing about Emersons is, that they'll outlast the owner. If you plan on keeping it, definitely worth the investment.

worn down g10 wouldn't phase me at all. if the knife opens and closes properly, lock works and the blade has enough steel left to sharpen it........... i'd buy it quick for 85 bucks. but that's me.....

Went back and got her!

Just needs a sharpen and a cleaning

^^ THAT was $85? Holy hell, you got a screaming deal! If I were to do anything to bring it back to life, I'd only take it apart for a cleaning. And that's all I would do.

Also, if you take it apart, you can use an old toothbrush to give the G10 scales a good scrubdown. Or use a magic eraser (haven't tested that one out myself yet)

Spa? She don't need no stickin spa!

A quick cleaning and sharpening session and she'll be ready for work. Good buy!;)

That was a screaming deal. I'd have bought that in a heartbeat. You done good. Clean up the edge and put her to use!

Haha thanks everyone, I am pretty excited too. This is my first Emerson since the Combat Systems Fighter was released, which I later sold...

I am happy to be an Emerson owner again, and at a bargain!
