i just bought a peanut pattern knife at a pawnshop, and need a little help dating it.
It is marked "MADE IN USA" on the main blade, the pen blade only has "USA".
The blades, bolsters, and liners are carbon steel.
The scales are either black jigged bone or a black plastic.
Both blades have a half stop.
I cannot find a makers name or cartouche. No shield in the handle, and it looks like it never had one.
Could the steel bolstrs be a clue on who made this knife and the general era it was made?
I know pictures would help, but I don't have a way to take or post them right now.
