I met a guy at SHOT, his name is James Stanek, and he has PTSD. He also has Sarge. Together, they help each other function and learn to live again.

Sarge is a female "rescue" dog, that James adopted and had trained to be a service dog for him. And it works, I've seen it first hand. What happens, is some vets come back, and can't re-enter society, certain parts of battle stress, makes it too tough to get by. And they need help.

Everyone that visits this forum, knows I support my country and our troops. All I ask it that ya'll take a look at Paws and Stripes.

James is a good guy, and Sarge is a great dog. And I'm glad they found one another, but there are others out there still looking.......

Very neat Moose and thank you for sharing. I have a friend who suffers from PTSD. I will see if I can pass this website on to him. I honestly had no idea programs/organizations like this existed.

Most don't.

We're gonna fix that.

Good stuff Moose. I have a few buddies I'll pass this on to who also, unfortunately have ptsd.

Good post, Moose. I've seen similar programs with horses/riding and with fishing.
Anything and everything to give these soldiers some peace ought to become public knowledge.

I remember Adam from E2E did a video on this a while back. I'll post it here if you don't mind moose. A great thing they are doing there.
If the the video is not ok to post feel free to take it down. Not really sure since it's kind of about E2E also.

^^^ saw that last year yea. Gave what I could. I'll hit them up again.

Very interesting, in terms of treating the cause and not the symptom. Also finds homes for puppies, and is free to veterans I'm almost certain. Good stuff.

I just got done watching the E2E video and in it he said it was free to the veterans and is run by donations. Very cool as insurance is iffy on covering a service dog.

Man, talk about bringing tears to a guys eyes. That's a great cause Moose. Thanks for sharing.

i'll point this out to my dog list friends
