A while back I won pay it forward #5, and it's taken long enough for me to pay it forward and keep this going. This was started in the traditional/fixed blade forum, but I currently only have 2 fixed blades, the one I won, and the one I got last xmas from my girlfriend. So I don't really have any traditional or fixed blade to give away.

The contest will be for a nib Ulzio R-1 flashlight. I bought 2 of these flashlights, and one has been in my truck since. It has been very useful and super bright. I might also add a surprise knife related gift to go along with that.

Rules: your post with picture is your entry, you can keep posting on the thread, but only posts with picture will enter the drawing.

Post a picture of your "summer knife", or knife you have been using the most this summer.

Good luck!

edit* I forgot to mention, I'll let the contest go for a week or two, depending on how many posts this thread gets per day. If It's not getting much attention after a week I'll announce a winner.

Description on the flashlight from another website:

Rapid Ring Mode Selector
As the ultimate tactical illumination tool, the Ulzio R-1 is designed around the revolutionary, easy to use, magnetic rapid ring mode selector. A standard reverse clickie tail cap switch provides basic on-off operation while the separate rapid ring selector allows the operator to quickly and easily change between high, medium, low, tactical strobe or SOS lighting modes. The internal switching circuit is magnetically controlled by the external rapid ring and therefore completely isolated from the elements making this a truly water-resistant all-weather flashlight. While many multi-mode flashlights simply cycle through the modes or require complicated button press patterns to change modes, the rapid ring is the fastest and easiest mode selector available.

Hybrid Reflector Assembly
The large and highly polished reflector provides the best of both worlds when it comes to beam patterns. The broad head ensures the light has a highly focused and intense center hot-spot which can reach out several hundred meters while also creating ample spill for illuminating close broad areas.

Long Term Savings - Powerful Options
Most high-end flashlights are powered by expensive disposable CR123a lithium-ion batteries. The G-11 on the other hand comes with a quality 18650 lithium-ion battery (the same that is found in most laptop battery packs) that can be charged several hundred times before needing to be replaced. The included charger takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the battery from empty. Not only will you save money on batteries but you'll get a much better run-time. The 18650 battery can power the light on low mode for over 8 hours.

Quality Construction and Design
A USA made CREE R2 LED and digitally regulated driver are at the heart of this light and provide the ideal amount of light with limited heat build-up. The CREE R2 LED will never need replacing and is the perfect compromise of power conserving efficiency and bright overall output. These critical components are protected by the triple anodized black body which is accented with silver anodized strike bezel and rapid ring selector. Finally, o-rings at the bezel, head and tail cap give this an impressive IP 44 water-resistance rating. Simply put, this is one light you’ll have for decades of use.

Includes
- Ulzio R-1 Flashlight
- 18650 Rechargeable Battery
- Charger and Power Cord
- Gift Box

Dimensions
7.1" Long x 2.2" Head Diameter x 0.9" Body Diameter (works with most 1” flashlight mounts)

This is the knife that I will probably carry the most this summer. It is one of my newest, by far the most expensive EDC knife I have bought, and I'm really wanting to give it a chance and see how it works out.

Well it's winter down under, but for summer use, any knife that has a bottle opener on the handle has to be a winner.

That's the knife I got in the previous pay it forward! I've only gotten to use it once, but I'll get to use it some more when I go camping next month.

Glad to see your continuing the pay it forward Simioh. Enjoy the Becker! This is not an entry, but I will play along.

Thanks, I have been working on getting it super sharp on the Lansky. And the G10 Leek was the first "real" knife I bought (after a cheapo Chinese).

I picked up a pair of black & blue Tenacious knives, swapped the handle scales, and was left with one black and blue Spydie.

I tried to stop carrying it last week. Didn't work :p This one will definitely be in my pocket for most of the summer.

Thanks for the chance and for keeping this forum as great as it is!

Thanks for the chance! This little monster has been seeing quite a bit of action this summer:

I'm surprised I haven't seen any Benchmade H2O or Spyderco H1. The Pacific Salt 1 is my most used in the summer.
