Alright, fellas, I hunted high and low, and I don't have anything as nice as this Canal Street to give away, so I'll just pass her right along. I also thought of a fun contest with which to pick a winner.
Here's a twist on your classic Pick A Number... let's have everybody pick a number between about 12,000.00 and 14,000.00- the boundaries aren't firm, because the winner will be the one who picks the number closest to the closing price of the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Friday, June 8.
Also, you gotta pick to two decimal places: right now, according to www.money.cnn.com, the DJIA is at 13,656.32.
Where do you think it will be a week from tomorrow? Heck if I know, but whoever can call it the closest wins the knife.
This is important, too... no entries after midnight next Tuesday. If we allowed entering right up until the last minute, that wouldn't make any sense.
So! Five days to pick a number. Eight days to see who wins.
Is that fair? Did I leave anything out?
