payed for gold but can't upgrade

here is the problem:
I made the payment on July 30. I got the confirmation email...No upgrade yet. I understand it's not an automatic
process and I have to do it manually.
Under user CP / Group Membership I get this message
"Joining Conditions Join Group
BOUNCED EMAIL: BOUNCED EMAIL
DO NOT JOIN THIS GROUP, IF YOU DO YOUR PROFILE WILL BE DISABLED!!!
Listed here? Email to you bounced. Please put a working email address in your profile - click Edit Email at the left. Once you have, you can leave this group"

any suggestions/help would be much appreciated
