Yes the payload HAS been found in Desoto Park (Ft. Payne, AL). After Azeala Cascade there is a bridge. Before that bridge is a boulder. Behind that boulder was the picture you took. The PVC pipe was down in the rock with moss and dirt covering it. Pretty easy to find after I thought about it and about 7 trips up there :)

Mr Busse, how do I get this new knife sharpened? Noticed the knife has the same handles similar to your SWAMP RAT knives (rubberized)... nice. Had to saw the cap off the PVC. Next time you should use longer PVC pipe so the hacksaw blade does not get close to the knife when removing the cap. What is the green grease that was on the knife? :D

One of these days you will know who I am, and I may have a picture posted of myself, the knife, and the PVC pipe.

You guys gave up working as a team... I didn't. ;)

There are a couple of clues in this post as to who I am...

Guys and Gals, hello again.

I will have someone post a picture later this afternoon. And to the guys who emailed me... no the knife is not for sale, this knife is priceless to me. :) I will bring it with me to the next show that I go to... Shot, Blade, TAG.

First of who I am... you are all wrong...;) You should not be saying..."your one lucky SOB" or "congrates man". Idahoskunk... you were definitely following the wrong person if you were one step behind "him". ;) :cool:

Ok, the woman that found the Busse knife is Patricia Tadder, one of the team members for Randall's Adventure & Training (RAT). We didn't know she was even involved in the search until late in the game. I finally figured it out after she kept telling me she was going to Desoto Park to hike about every other day :)

Here's a picture of Patricia, the knife, and the PVC pipe that was cut away from her prize.

BTW: I did my best to talk her into letting me bury an RTAK and one of our business cards in the same location and never let anyone know that the Busse was found. I figured it would be the perfect practical joke to pull on Jerry, but then whoever found it would really be pissed when they found out it wasn't a Busse. :D
