When I post a knife in the Maker's "For Sale" section can I
put a Paypal button on the thread for payment?
I called payal and they're fine with it.

Good question but one I don't have the answer to. Spark should be along shortly and he would be better qualified to answer that for you. Have some patience, though. He is a busy man.

Thanks Ken.
At Paypal in "Merchant Services" you can create a "Buy Now" button
in a minute or so. Once created you simply copy and paste it.
They said (on the phone) that a button will only be able to be used
one time unless set up for multiple items.
The button is just like a payment request. Once a payment is made,
it won't work again.
This was my only concern.
Didn't want a steady flow of payments with only one knife.
They say that won't happen.
Sounds safe enough.
I found that an e-mail link doesn't always get the buyer
to the seller.
I know I can't simply click on a link and send an e-mail.
I have to copy the address and paste it at my home page.
This "Button" I think would work great for every seller
that accepts paypal.

Never mind.
I just called paypal to find out if a button could be used
at more than one site for a single product.
Now, the person I spoke to says even at one site the
button can be used over and over (multiple payments).
so, looks bad.

Thanks Ken.

When you use PayPal's Buy Now Buttons, you can sell individual items from your website

We don't allow HTML use on the forums because it's a giant security hole begging for someone to attack the site. You can put in a text link (not sure if Paypal has that) but HTML code like what's generated by the buttons is a no go

To generate a "buy now" paypal link for payment one should generate a link and use the "email" link code. I wont use an example because I might get busted for selling here and I am not supposed to sell here. Look for a classified ad in the gear section, from me, soon!

If Spark or Stacy give permission I'll illustate here.
