PBF Suggestions Solicited by Alan

Folks,

Am the proud possessor of 2 8" PBF's (thanks again IdahoSkunk), and one 6"'er.

In a previous thread, Okuden was suggested, and David Brown kindly introduced himself. Any other sheath maker suggestions?

Am planning to get one righty, and one lefty sheath - am lefty. My reasoning is that I might want to practice with both knives in concert. Also, think it would be easier to sell a PBF with a righty sheath, if I ever want to sell.

The 6"'er came with the handle nicely black cord wrapped, but the 8"'ers came naked. Suggestions for handles? Where might I find cord wrapping instructions? Any other ideas besides cord wrapping?

Happy Holiday to all. Alan

Alan,

Congratulations on your PBF's! They are cool knives!

Here are some links to what others have done, other than cord wrapping:
Raden

ronybear

ronybear - ultimate

Do a search of this forum for something like "wrap" or maybe "cord wrap" for links to instructions.

I have considered using a nice wood on mine for show, but for practical use G10 or some other synthetic material would be better. Let us know what you decide.

You might consider linen Micarta. There's a reason Jerry uses it on other knives ;)

I agree; linen or canvas micarta would be nice.

David Dempsey did the ones with rayskin for both Raden and ronybear. I'm not sure who did ronybear's PBF with the mirror finish - it is really awesome!
