Which would you choose ? Also is the Scallion with plastic scales a framelock ?

well, i'd go for the Leek, but that's neither here nor there. between the two choices you give, i'd go for the Scallion, since i'm so keen on the Speed-safe mechanism. all Scallions are liner-lock, however.

seriously, though, you MUST get the Leek. it shares a lot of similarities with the Vapor in design & blade length, and yet utilizes Speed-safe like the Scallion. and it's a frame-lock! you simply cannot go wrong. buy it. buy it now.

I like the Vaopr myself. I think it's an excellent value at its price point.

The Scallion you refer to is a linerlock and not a framelock

I'm also a fan of the speed assist & the Scallion has it. That's my choice of the two you mentioned , but I chose the Leek for a little more cutting power & Wharncliff blade.
