PC Problem - Outlook delivers the SAME email every 2 mins...
I got a seemingly innocuous email from a local band announcing their latest gig. I have been on their list, and no probs in the past. This particular email came in on thursday, and since it came in it has repropogated itself on every send/receive for my email accounts. It would have generated thousands, but I have set up a 'rule' in Outlook to hard-delete it as soon as it comes in. I see it for a flash before it disappears, but it keeps coming.
I have been on the phone with my cable internet provider and he actually took command of my screen to try to fix it. He gave me a bunch of tips, but nothing seemed to work.
It is not coming in on the web server. We looked at the webbased email interface and it was clear. He says that the problem is on my PC.
I ran trend microhousecall's online virus scan and my own Computer Associates version. Nothing of note. No multiple versions of Outlook running.
It's come in five times since I typed this.
Any suggestions? At this point, I need a geek better than me....
