Hi Jerry! When you hit the design table and the scotch bottle again :), how about designing a Public Defender with a new handle design! The old one looked like a freekin boning knife. A cool freekin boning knife though. :)Please run this idea by Jennifer. ;)
:D

Oh no... this thread ain't going to the bottom yet! Don't you HOGS like Japanese Styled Blades?? Hell... I'll even go with a double grind!!
:D

Cool Doug.
The Sus is not a JSB... is it??
I'd love a nice Busse-Style Kwaiken. :)

Hartsfield's blades were UNbelievable! Have you looked at Pohan Leu's blades?
Jerry would design a killer JSB.

the public defender was a sharpened brick, it took me like 6 hours of hand sharpening to drop the front edge down to 35 degree's per side. it was actually more than square when I got it, something like 55 degree's per side on the front edge. Even sharpened down to 24 degree's per side on the main edge whatever you were cutting had to go from initial edge to 1/4" in less then half an inch. it felt like making a tiny slit and then tearing it open with my bear hands.

these were the busse boning knives:

LVC--- What I would like to see is really a Japanese styled handle. That shorter handle has many advantages.;)

sans the choil, I consider the rat tail to be one of the best knives produced by any of the busse kin. it's the one true compact full sized knife in any of the line ups. every other knife wastes space either at the pommel or at the ricasso, except this one. The skeleton key sorta fits, but realistically it's just to small to be used like the rat tail and larger sized knives.

I'd have said the same of the killer bee/pbf4 if it wasn't so insanely thick at the edge o_0

What we need is that chef knife that surfaced for about 5 seconds several years back. There was a pic of Amy holding one, if I recall...

Screw fighting knives, an INFI chef knife would do the trick better AND be legally defensible. Who can ask for more than that?
