Would somebody who has some familiarity with the old Public Defenders please give me an idea of how thick the edges are? Are they good slicers, or more intended for jabbing in between the third and fourth vertebrae? :)
Thanks,
Warren

Nobody here has ever owned/used/seen one?

Edited: Amazing..."sean" seemed like the correct spelling at the time.

Hey bubba. Give it a day or two to let everybody figure out that this thing is running again... You'll probably have better luck then.;)

But you don't understand...I've been wanting to ask this for days and days!!! :D :D :D

*Small voice in my subconscience whispering: "Why didn't you ask on the forum over at Bussecombat?"*

I think it's time my two braincells in charge of decision making start working together.

Well shoot, my server didn't like that address at all. :( I guess I'll just wait until it's not the wee hours of the morning, and see if some answers pop up. My morning self (who is only about to get three hours of sleep) will thank me for it. Oh, and no I haven't been up this late just to get a response here, I'm working on a report--but this is always a fun break to take! :)

The edges on the PD are relatively thick compared to some knives (however, most Busse's are), but this definately adds to edge retention... It's a GREAT slicer, exactly what mine was used for when I went camping... Used my swamp rat BR for chopping... Mine's still razor sharp, too...:D :D :D

edited to add: I believe it has a symmetrical grind, as well...
