Hello Bladeforumites,

I'm looking for a Blackberry/Sony Cleo type device. Something that I can receive "internet" email, web browse, etc.

WiFi is nice but you have to be near something. Something along the lines of cellular web connection in a PDA type device.

Cellular communication would be nice but not neccessarily a requirement.

Can someone point me in the right directon please? Some kind of forum or geek site. Or personal advice.

With work and kids, I don't have too much time to surf. I'd tried but didn't really get anywhere.

Thanks!

I've had pretty good luck with
my T-Mobile PPC, Sounds like it
my fit you. Though I wish it was a PalmOS
instead of PocketWindows

If you have a Bluetooth equipped cell phone, some of the Palm Tungsten models will support a wireless connection through your phone to the internet.

The forums on www.pdabuzz.com have always been a good source of information for me.

I do this everyday....

I have an HP 2215 Pocket PC PDA which is Bluetooth synched to my cellphone. As long as the cellphone is within 30 feet of the PDA, I can browse the internet and check emails just fine, no cables required.

Bob, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you!

But, how do you enter text?

Sorry, I'm not too techy.

There are many options for entering text. You can either write on the screen with a stylus, or you can attach a small portable keyboard. I prefer to use a portable keyboard for replying to emails and long threads. YOu can type quick notes using the screen/stylus, but it is a pain to enter long notes.

For an integrated device, I love my Kyocera 7135. It combines a cell phone, wireless browser and Palm PDA in a single footprint. I can also add a Secure Digital card for extra storage.

The only disadvantage: Palm OS 4.1, so the resolution is limited to 160X160. If you can live with the low-res, it makes for a nice compact package.

Well, after browsing the HP site I think I'm going to check out the
iPAQ Pocket PC h4355(integrated keyboard). Looks pretty cool.

Thanks!
