PDA GPS...anyone tried these?

I have a Handspring Visor...and you can get an optional GPS attachment. Has anyone out there tried any products like that? I'm curious but I'm not about to throw down that kind of money if they don't work very well.

As well, what kind of economical GPS device would anyone recommend?

I haven't any experience with the PDS GPS devices, but I do own a pretty economical eTrex GPS receiver. I own the basic model eTrex model from Garmin. A pretty basic model, it doesn't have a whole lot of bells and whistles, but does the basic GPS functions pretty well.

It goes for about $100 dollars US at www.amazon.com. I picked mine up used for much less on eBay.
