PE II with different blade styles?

I know that would not make it a Pentagon Elite II anymore, but I was wondering if there is a possiblity of an extended 5" Tomcat(SOG style bowie)blade swapped with the current dagger style blade in the future? under a different line name?
I love the handle of the PEII, good weight/solid and comfortable in all the major grips.
I'm just not too crazy about the chopped off tip on the current PEII, the fact that it is sharpend on both sides of the tip would guarantee it being a dagger(where they are illegal, like Tx.). I've dulled the spine side myself, but I think it would be harder to defend as a non dagger to authorities than a Tomcat style blade.

Any hope for this?

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your questions. I doubt a blade change on this knife will be in the works. You're right...it just wouldn't be a Pentagon Elite with another blade shape.

We are always adding new products. There are some outstanding new products in the works for next year. We'll see what blade shapes are included.

Regarding the Pentagon Elite being labeled a "dagger" because of its "shark tooth tip," I really doubt that would be the case. Washington State has laws against concealment of daggers of any length, and I would be shocked if the PE was even momentarily considered a dagger. You may wish to contact your state attorney general's office for clarification of the dagger laws in Texas. A facetted tip is not a dagger.

Thanks for the info. Ron, I do like the PEII alot regardless of my concerns, and do have it in my regular carry selection.
I'm always looking out for what SOG has got coming up, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Thanks,
Ken
