hello everyone. my first time posting. i recently purchased a seal revolver and a pentagon elite (4"). the pentagon has alot of horizontal blade play. is there something i need to do, or do i need to send it back. i really like this knife as well as the revolver. any input appreciated. thanks.

Rick, Welcome to Blade Forums, you have a couple of nice knives, the Pentagon is usually very tight, all the arc locks I have looked at have been perfect right out of the box. There is one thing you can try for a day, keep opening the blade and try to seat the lock, it is spring loaded and usually, the more it's opened, the more the spring load will move into it's position.
In other words, there is always pressure being exerted on the lock to make it solid, this is done by constant spring load. Try this for a day and see if it helps, if not, see if the place where you bought it will exchange for a tighter blade. If not, call or email Chris at SOG, explain what the problem is and he will take care of you. Which Revolver did you get ? These Revolvers are one of the best outdoor knives you can own, very useful in the woods and very versatile, use it to cut some limbs and let me know what you think. If you have any problems, email me and I will try to help.

thanks robbie for the quick answer. i'll try the open/close with the pentagon and see if that helps. as far as the revolver goes i bought the seal. i do some camping and backpacking and thought it would be a great knife. i also read a lot of great reviews on the revolver on this site. congrats on a great knife. thanks again.

Rick, glad you like the Revolver, you will like it even more when you try it in the woods. It's a great knife with a great sheath, the saw is a pull cut, cuts when pulling back towards you, very effective on limbs and small logs up to about 5 inches, or bigger if you can assist by pushing some, always remember and if you cut a tree for firewood, make one cut near bottom, and feed entire tree to fire, saves a lot of energy (of course you can remove smaller limbs). I always break smaller dead limbs, it saves time cutting. The sheath you have is Kydex, adjustable tension for tight or easier removal. I really like this sheath because it gives me different carry options, even upside down and lashed to back pack straps, as long as tension screws are tight, and snap is closed, you should never lose the knife.
Enjoy you knife.

P.S. Shoot me an email, I have some links you may want to read.

Ron, you are persactly right :D , thanks for helping me out, sometimes I get a little confused, I don't get a chance to talk to many of them, just Chris every once in a while, so I just refer everybody to him, .
I bet he wonders about me sometimes :p .
