It is the entrance to Dovedale, a few miles from my last 2 walks
It looks like the photographer was a little more fortunate than I with the weather, for a while at least!

Great pic, I've been over the stepping stones there in summer. Man it's get's busy then eh !!!

Yes, I prefer to go to such popular places in the winter! There are plenty of quiet places to go to in the summer. I've walked for hours in the fields of Warwickshire without seeing another person apart from the odd car in a lane.
