Peanut - do all have half stops?

Howdy All. Don't mean to intrude, but seems like the best place to get input. Looking for a smaller slippie. I like the penblade a lot. Peanut seems a good size/blade setup. The only peanuts I have are Case (stag and red bone) and have half-stops, which I don't really like on small knives. Do all Case peanuts have them?

I would consider other brands/patterns, but want either stag or bone scales. Have seen Case Penknife, but only in the brown synthetic. I like stockman patterns, but most are too large for what I have in mind. Have a tiny trapper, it is ok, but no penblade and maybe a little on the smallish side. Also have a tiny muskrat - good size, but not terribly fond of the narrow clip blades. Thinking 2 3/4 to 3 inches closed.

Generally, looking for something people friendly, 2-3 blades, to use in an office. Thinking high quality production knife price range; not sure I could afford a custom. Thoughts most welcome. Thanks in advance for your input!
Peace.

As far as I know, al Case peanuts have half stops. You might try looking for an older Schrade. They offered a few different versions ,2 and 3 blades, that are on the smaller side. I have a few older versions and none have half stops. IMHO they are a great looking knife too. Jigged Delrin, but Schrade did a great job on them.

BTW.. You are not intruding here. This is a great place to hang out with lots of great people. Always good to see new folks hangin out here

Don't know if you're interested in customs, but Chamblin frequently has a peanut out in the marketplace - which don't have half-stops (for the most part).

I'm a big fan of the Jr. Stockman with a pen blade instead of a spey blade. The Jr. Stockman is usually a bit smaller than a peanut.

Hi,

I really like my Schrade 108OT Junior stockman too. Peanut sized and three blades. Great slippie for the office or town.

Thanks for the ideas - will look at older Shrade peanuts and the Jr Stockman types. Thinking I would like the jr stockman as i a fond of stockman patterns. Would be nice to be able to handle before buying, but then picking up a few shrades and similar won't be a bad thing :D

Again, thanks for the good leads!

Here's some more input. A Queen Cutlery (nearly wrote elderly Queen...)peanut I've got from the 50s has them. A brand new Rough Rider does not, not a bad little greenbone knife that RR.

And, yes it is nice to have new faces in this forum!
