Peanut has squeezed the sbj out

Well guys I bought the chestnut swayback jack and pocket carried it for a week and then I bought a chestnut peanut. I figured that I would switch them out every couple days or every week or so. The problem is that ever since I got the peanut it hasn't left my pocket. This isn't good as I LOVE the sbj's looks but the peanut is a smaller package with tons of cutting power. I guess I'm nuts over the peanut.

Welcome the addiction that the peanut is sure to become for you! I have also been carrying a chestnut cv peanut for awhile now, and before that was a yella cv nut!

Well, I'm sure as all heck not going to argue with that. As far as the cult of maximum minimalism goes, the peanut is a top contender. For blade capabilities in a small package, this is the peanut's forte. Capable of 98% of what we do, and still can muddle thru for the other one or two percent. And in the meantime, a pleasure to carry, and people friendly. I tried the SBJ, and it just didn't click with me like the 'nut.

The cult welcomes you, my son.

Carl. Grand High Muckba.

:D

Nice picture.
I wish I got into my peanut more, but it never happened. But eversince I joined BF, I've always heard the praise for the SBJ.
I should try and pick one up soon and try it out

Thank you Carl and thanks for such a great explanation of the peanut's capabilities. I agree 110%. My journey has taken me 360 degrees back to my childhood it seems. I always had slip joints when I was a kid. As a grown up (I'm 32), I gravitated to knives with pocket clips like an endura. Now as I have grown older; I find that I had it right a long time ago. I am loving slip joints and for EDC nothing seems to beat the Peanut!

You will find all my tacticals in the BST in the coming months. I guess I'll just put the money in to savings or buy more peanuts.

The SBJ is such a gorgeous knife. Walk and talk on my specimen is amazing. Unbelievable snap. My handle scales are completely different colors though and that may be part of why I haven't been carrying it. I also love the elongated spring on the pen side. I have read that the sbj is the best built knife coming out of case right now and I have to agree.

I cannot dispute that. I bought a SBG mid-February 2012, and traded it away less than two months later. Bought the peanut less than two weeks after the sway back, and to this day it is in my pocket most days.

I miss the chestnut peanut that I had for about a week before my mother asked if she could have a knife...I gave it to her :o I'm goign to have to pick another one up sometime soon methinks.

The SBJ is the only other case knife on my list. From all the praise it seems to get here, I think it might deserve my attention. Might have to pick one up as well as the Peanut. Just when I thought my wallet was safe, I had to read this thread (this forum can be dangerous like that).
