These are from my Grandfather's collection and I think they may be case peanuts but not sure. Maybe someone on here will know.

I'm not sure about the top one...the middle one looks like a 20 pattern "peanut".... the last one looks like a 087 pattern jack. Can you see if there are pattern numbers on the backs of the main blades?

What it looks like is a peanut and two small serpentine jacks. All very nice knives that looks like your grandpa got his moneys worth out of them. The peanut and larger jack look like they can still serve, just give them a little clean up with a soft rag and some mineral oil, and sharpening. Great knives.

Unfortunately, all three knife blade numbers are unreadable. I've tried a magnifying glass and everything. They're really old and could have been my great grandfather's or grandfather's knives. I've been trying some research but I figured someone on here may have some info, so thanks for the quick reply!

The middle one is definately a 'Nut. The top and bottom ones I'm not familiar with. Clean the two that can be saved up and carry them once in a while, they deserve it.

For what it's worth, it looks like the 1st and 2nd knives are 1940-1964 vintage, and the 3rd is a 1965-1969.

The tang stamps on the 1940-1964 knives, known as 'XX' era knives, look like this:
CASE
XX

The 1965-1969 era knives, known as 'USA' knives, have a stamp like this:
CASE XX
U.S.A.

They're nice knives. I'm still not sure about the top one... maybe a 27 pattern jack... dunno... If those were my grandfather's, I'd wipe them down with mineral oil, sharpen them, and tote them on special occassions. I'd also probably buy a new 6220 (peanut) and 62087 (jack) to carry regularly... and one day those will would be passed on along with grandpas knives.

I was going to guess 62087 because the one looks just like my grandpa's that he gave me. I believe its called a medium jack though?

I am so far from a case expert but would dimensions help or are there other differences?

Exact dimensions (closed length) should help. Case has produced many very similar models in years past, often with some subtle differences in closed length. To simplify, if each knife were photographed alongside a ruler, with the ends of both the ruler and knife butted up against a straight edge of some sort (to establish a true 'zero point' for the measurement). That's how I'd measure 'em. Either that way, or using a dial caliper.

David, thank you! I mean it when I say that. You always help everyone on this forum.

Sorry about the out of proportion pics. I measured as closely as I could the closed lengths. The broken tip one is 2 11/16, The peanut is 2 3/4, and the larger one is 3 5/16. I took the peanut out today and the pen blade (not shown in the photo) has actually been filed to resemble a coping blade. Maybe for whittling? I'm a little too paranoid to carry any of them even on special occasions. I'm looking to get a new CV peanut if I can find one around here locally. That way I can keep the old ones safe for the kids!

On the smallest one, is the clip blade in front (closer to the shield side), with the pen blade behind it? I'm thinking it may be a 6227. Apparently, Case used this frame pattern for both a pen knife (2 blades, one at each end), and also for a jack pattern (pictured below). They also produced a 'baby premium stockman' (6327SHSP pattern; 3 blades) using the '27 frame. My guide pictures the stockman, but didn't picture the jack or the pen knife. The frame for the stockman looked identical to your pic; so I started web-searching for a 2-blade version. Hence the 6227. The guides I'm looking at list it's closed length at 2-3/4" (1/16" away from your indicated measurement; there could be some variation).

I do believe the 3rd knife is a 62087 (3-3/8", give or take). And I'm 99.99% sure we've nailed down the Peanut (6220 pattern) in the 2nd pic. ;)
