Joel Chamblin - 2 3/4 inches, CPM-154.
Campbell (a.k.a. cnas122) got this one at the Blade show and kindly passed it on to me. Check out the stag on this little goober.
An interesting thing about this knife. I'm told that when it was in Atlanta it was chicken eyed and/or coon fingered by the likes of Mike Robuck, Blues, Gus, Gig, Jim Todd, Campbell of course, and who knows how many other BFC traditional forum hooligans. Thanks again, Campbell and thank you, Joel.

That's the coolest peanut I've ever CFed and CEed. It could take a while to get the Blade Show cooties off of it, but that Texas heat may do the trick. Congrats.

Quite the repository of Traditional Forum DNA! ;)

Congrats on a fine knife, Rob.

That was one to behold, I am happy for you and sad for me. It seems I had just gotten a Cover Canoe from a real good friend when this one came up. Oh well, such is life.
Congrats Rob,
You deserve it.
Jim

that is some super stag. peanut perfection indeed.

Fantastic catch Rob & Thanks for showing it,
-Vince

I was soooo ready to pull the trigger on that knife. It's one of the finest peanuts out there, if not the finest. congrats.

Congrats Rob,

That is one fantastic knife. It was the one I was hoping for during the drawing.

Joel really did raise his own bar as far as I can tell. The knives he had at blade were all beautiful. (Actually that is nothing new.)

His work has always been exceptional and I think Joel really topped himself with the knives he brought to Blade I think the biggest gain was the swedge work I saw. I am not sure how he can get any better, but knowing Joel he will.

The Traditional Forum has factored into Joel's Blade Show sales big time the last two years. Last year Gus and Joe (Canine Forge) snagged knives at Joel's table. (Can't recall if any others from the forum also came away with any.)

This year, GigOne, Riad, Campbell, Waynorth and myself all factored into the equation one way or another.

May have to make Joel one of the official Traditional Forum knifemakers. ;)

I loved the knife and hated to part with it. The stag is great on it...the white turning into the brown. I've also always thought that it was tough to put "good lookin" stag on a peanut because of the knife's size, but I think what he used fits this one perfectly. And I also like the fact that it doesn't have a shield.

All those Trad. Forum members being drawn almost made up for the fact this was the first time since Joel has held drawings at blade that I did not get lucky.

Called him a week or so after the show to tell him how many good people had been drawn.

Joel's drawing was amazing in the number of us that got a chance.

For me, the best part of the drawing was Gig got drawn first.

When we had gone bye earlier for a look he actually got excited over a knife. For the next few minutes all I heard him say is "did you see that knife... oh man I really want that one" (there may have been a little drop of drool in the corner of his mouth). Never have seen that out of him. He is always cool and laid back no matter what is going on, but he got the knife he was "exicted" over.

Maybe we can convince him to post a pic one day. :D

Elliot acted the same way with the Saddlehorn.

Yep. Sure did. Something about that saddlehorn, from the single blade to the very nice lines just called my name.

It makes a great carry knife too since it's so thin and light.

Touched it up a little to bring the edge to a nice level of sharpness for routine cutting tasks.

With all this talk about flowing drool around Joel's table, makes me wish I had hosed off the peanut with Lysol before I started playing with it. :D

You know Campbell likes to stick knives in trees, best check that blade for sap.:D

I really like Joel's slip joints and that peanut is perfection! Congrats!
