Well after reading numerous stories about Peanuts and everyone's enthusiasm about them, I decided that it was time to take the plunge and buy one to carry.
I purchased a Case Yellow Delrin Peanut and Knifeworks engraved my initials on the handle.

I wanted a knife that was UK legal and something I could keep in my pocket on my travels everywhere.

It turns out that this knife is a little gem. It is beautifully sharp and sufficient size to do almost all tasks.

What is really amazing is just how practical the little Case is. It really is a perfect edc Traditional.

If you spot me at Blade it will be in my pocket...........:)

Peanuts! I finally get it!

So the S.L. stands for Slow Learner? :p

(Honestly, who could resist such an opening? ;) Seriously though, points all well taken. Seeya next week, brother.)

Welcome to the club, friend!

You may as well start picking out your next peanut now. It's only a matter of time.:D

Funny how something so great can be so small and in front of you the whole time yet you never capitalized on it until now. No worries though--I have just recently discovered peanuts myself.

I have a 2010 brown bone one
I admit i like the cuteness of it, nice evening EDC

Dad's Peanut which I'm afraid to carry and lose next to the $10 Boker Stockman I've carried all week

My EDC in Japan is a Peanut, same legal reasons. Best EDC I've ever had. I carry a Case SS Red Bone or a CV Yellow. I prefer the CV.

Tried a RR toothpick....I think it just wasn't for me. Just a touch too small to work comfortably with even on light duties. I prefer my Gunstock.

A little small for me as 3 5/8ths is my sweet spot but I've been surprised how many people do like them. I gave a peanut sized small stockman to our pastor and although I was afraid it would be too small for his old cowboy hands he loves it. I guess he does a lot of things where his medium folder is a little big.

I was a little skeptic about this model because its size, but reading a lot of good thing about it made buy this old Camillus peanut. Well I have no regrets, surprisingly comfortable and great EDC.

I always overlooked them for some reason but after reading a few of jackknife's tales I decided to try one for myself and fell in love with it currently in my EDC rotation I have a Case Peanut in rough black and am going to add one in yellow derlin any day now.

I think that most people are skeptic just because of the size. It seems just too small to really work. But it you look at what 99% of what a pocket knife is used for in modern suburban America, not much blade is needed. A small blade is more than enough for opening mail, plastic blister packages, UPS and FEDEX boxes, and office work. I wouldn't want to be dropped off on a deserted island or deep in the north woods with a peanut to survive. But for the wilds of modern suburban life, it does quite well. I think my dad's idea was that if a two inch blade is not enough, then a 2 1/2 or even 3 may not be that much better.

Plus being so small, it leaves room for other extremely useful items when you have kids and then grandkids in tow, like little bottle of Purrel hand santitizer, small first aid kit, small bottle of Bauch and Lomb Opcon A eye drops for my own summer allergies, small flashlight, two bandana's, golf pencil, and other items. :D

Not to mention their like a corgi pup; too darn cute to resist taking home with you.

Carl.

After all this talk, I guess I'll have to drop the stag peanut in my watch pocket for the evening. Wish it was CV though,,,

I haven't done it yet but Carl sure does make you want to get a little nut with yellow scales and a CV blade. :)
